Security in the Cloud
- An Internet "Deflector Shield"
It used to be said that all you need to keep your computer safe was to
ensure that you had up-to-date Anti-Virus software,
but today this is no longer true. With a new virus every 7 seconds,
Anti-Virus software installed on your PC can no longer keep
up with the speed of the threats. Installing more security on your
PC to try to stop these attacks usually
results in much slower computers and does not ensure your saftey. The only way to keep your computer safe without slowing it even further,
is to move the security off the computer and by utilising
"Security in the cloud" (remotely internet hosted security
servers). You dont have the additonal cost of installing or maintaing
extra security hardware and because the security is
"in the cloud" it
doesn't matter where your computer is in the world, your PC will
still be protected.
SECUREDESK provides leading
edge solutions to protect your computers from the ever increasing
threat by internet borne Viruses, Trojans, Spyware and Adware.
Rather than add more security software to your computer which usually
makes it go slower and still does not ensure protection, SECUREDESK provides
"Security in the Cloud". The access to Internet
from your computers is re-routed via our Security Servers located
remotely on the Internet, thereby behaving like a "Deflector Shield" warding
off Internet borne attacks before they can reach your computers.
SECUREDESK-Web - Security
while surfing the web
With SECUREDESK-Web all your
internet web surfing is re-routed via the "Internet Security Web
Servers". The webpage that you are accessing is checked prior to
your browser reaching it, to ensure that the page is safe and does
not contain any malicious code like virses, trojans, spyware or
adware, if it does, the browser is prevented from reaching the contaminated
page.
As the information is returned from the Internet webpage to your computer,
all the traffic is dynamically analysed and if any unexpected data
is identified in the traffic, it is immediately "sand boxed" (loaded
onto a seperate processor and analysed to ensure that it is not
malicious i.e. containing an exploit which would contaminate the
receiving PC), if the data is good, it is downloaded to the browser,
if the data is bad, a benign piece of code is download in place
of the malcious exploit, there-by protecting the recieving computer.
SECUREDESK-Web protects your
computers dynamically against web attacks from viruses and trojans
before the Anti-Viruses companies even know about
the existance of the new virus type, let alone release a security
update to your PC Anti-Virus software.
SECUREDESK-Web provides the
protection to your PC's against web borne attacks without any
real impact on overall web surfing performance.

------------------------ SECUREDESK-Mail - Security
against email attacks
SECUREDESK-Mail provides email
security, all your inbound email is re-routed via the Internet
Hosted "Mail Filtering Server". Before the mail is even delivered
to the "Mail Filtering Server" it's origin is analysed and if
it is from a dubious source, it is immediately rejected, in this
way nearly 90% of all Spam is rejected out right.
The untrusted
dubious sources are also the origin of the new unknown viruses
and trojans because they come from the computers controlled
by cyber criminals, so these emails too are rejected before they
reach the "Mail filtering
server". The remaining
emails with attachments are then
passed through 5 different
anti-virus programs to ensure that the attachments do not
contain a known viruses. The content of the emails is then
analysed to ensure that they aren't Spam and if they are, they
are transferred to an area called the "Spam Quarantine" and all
the remaining emails are delivered to the users. Daily a single
email is sent to each user identifying any emails added to their
"Spam Quarantine" area, giving details of the sender and subject
and providing the option to release the email for delivery.
SECUREDESK-Mail provides
the protection to your PC's against email borne attacks.
