Just One Step to using SecureWeb - Connecting SecureWeb to the Server
When the PC restarts following the completion
of the SecureWeb Installation, it should automatically open up your
Internet Browser and show
the screen below.
(FOR THE FIRST TIME ONLY, YOU MUST USE MICROSOFT
INTERNET EXPLORER, OTHER BROWSER MAY NOT REGISTER THE SOFTWARE PROPERLY)
If the screen below doesn't appear, just
start the Microsoft Internet
Explorer Browser and
the screen shown below will appear, (without the Red Text on
it).
On this screen, you just enter into the boxes
the "Profile Manager
Name" and "Password" that you received by email from us,
remember they are both case sensitive, so if any CAPITAL LETTERS appear
in either, please make sure you type them as CAPITALS.
VERY
IMPORTANT: If a box like this appears at anytime when you are logging
into the Profile Manager, always press NO otherwise the security password
you have entered will be saved automatically and anyone can then manage
the Internet access.
Leave this screen for 10 seconds and it should automatically change to
www.google.co.uk.
If a message saying "No Profile Selected" appears
follow the instructions below
If the following pop-up appears in the lower right corner of the screen
at any time, it means that you need to select a Profile before SecureWeb
can allow access to the Internet.
SecureWeb uses “Profiles”, a Profile
is a collection of rules defining what can and cannot be reached
across the internet (you can modify
and create new Profiles anytime) hence for security, without a Profile
being selected, SecureWeb won't allow any internet access.
To "Select a Profile", double click on the SecureWeb "S" icon
in the lower righthand Status Bar and then the "Choose a Profile" screen
should appear, if the "Status Screen" (shown above) appears
instead, click on the line "Click here to Log Out and Choose a Profile".
In the "Choose Profile" screen, select the Name (the default
one is "generous", as shown above, and has no
Password), then
just press the Continue button.
The screen will again return to the "Status Screen" but
when left 10 seconds will go to www.google.co.uk.
Testing SecureWeb
When SecureWeb is fully installed, you can test
its operation by going to a website like www.gambling.co.uk, you
should see your first real "Deny
Page", it's like the "Status Page" but has the information
saying why you where not able to get to the webpage.
You don't have to remember all this, it is in the first part of the User
Manual.
We suggest that you look at the User Manual which hopefully you download
above, to learn how to change and fine tune SecureWeb.
Now Select Finish to restart the computer
When your computer has restarted, you just connect your copy of SecureWeb
with the Server as outlined above
